Chrissie’s voice is the icing on the cake
Chrissie Pearce’s debut album COMFORT CHAIR was produced by Peter Wallis and Trevor Beck. Chrissie mixes together folk, country, rock and pop on this emotionally driven album. The lyrics speak of rejection, love and forgiveness. COMFORT CHAIR was recorded in New South Wales, Australia. Chrissie is already receiving praise for her songs, which allow her to show off her velvety vocals. Prior to this release Chrissie released an EP in 1999 called DO YOU REMEMBER. Kind Of Love gets the album off to a breezy flying start. Chrissie’s vocals are light and enjoyable to listen to. There are touches of Andrea Corr in this opening number. Disconnections is a heavier blues infused song with a strong country feel. Chrissie’s vocals take on a stronger deeper tone for this song. Can You Hear The Rain is a country song with upbeat instrumentation. Comfort Chair, the title song, is a traditional country song with dreamy haunting vocals that sound delicate and extremely pure. Tonight is another slow paced song. This song mixes pop with country. Chrissie’s vocals are literally glowing on this song. Chrissie’s vocals seem effortless throughout the album, literally gliding off her tongue. Something More is a slightly heavier song with more substance. Again this song blends country with pop. Waiting For You has a pop/country sound, vibrant and enchanting Chrissie’s vocals are a pleasure to listen to. Blinded is a slow song with magical emotive vocals. Delicate and almost angelic Chrissie’s vocals and ethereal style really bring this song to life. Moved On is another emotive song with a fresh breezy sound. Lifted is a stunning song, slow and gentle, Chrissie carries listeners along with her magnificent country/pop infused vocals. This one song alone makes it worth purchasing a copy of the album. All Alone is a pop/folk song, which once again oozes charm and emotion. Chrissie takes full command of this song filling it with passion and delicacy. Son Of Sam is a faster rocky song with a really strong country feel. There is something wonderful about this album. All of the songs come with their own special magic. Chrissie’s vocals are the icing on the cake, bringing each and every song to life.
