Jacob Robin Song Review

Jacob Robin is a highly talented seventeen year old with a passion for music. Jacob’s music blends blues with folk and acoustic rock. Jacob’s music is passionate, warming and effortless. If Jacob were a book then he would be one of those huge photographic books that you display on your coffee table. This description goes to show just how amazing Jacob’s music is and highlights just what standard you should expect from one of Jacob’s songs. Jacob is accompanied on his songs by his trusty acoustic guitar. The lack of musical backing on his songs I think makes then sound that extra bit special and rather unique. His songs are gentle and flow effortlessly brought to life by poetic lyrics and wonder velvety vocals.

Currently unsigned Jacob is not just your average struggling singer/songwriter trying to make a name for himself in the music business. Jacob’s songs are amazingly special and his writing is diverse allowing his music to appeal to a wide audience. Jacob completed his first double album in September 2008. The album was unreleased but was titled Through My Eyes. In February 2009 Jacob put together his second unreleased album called Through The Madness. Not content with this Jacob’s third album was laid down in September 2009. This album was called Loop Of Life. A forth as yet untitled album was laid down in December 2009. All this goes to show that Jacob is not one for giving in and not trying. He may not have a record label but he is still busy plugging away, hammering on the door of the music industry. Hopefully it won’t take too long for someone to notice Jacob’s music and snap him up.

Jacob is influenced by blues, folk and psychedelic music. These musical influences are represented in his own work by rhythmic changes and sensitive/evocative lyrics that just beg listeners to listen closely. Jacob has a passion for poetry, which probably goes to show why his songs are full of such amazing lyrics. Jacob just wants to create and his thirst for music is just one way of doing just that. Jacob may be young but his passion for universal peace and unity as well as his own intense defiance of corruption and the oppressive use of authority gives him a good back bone for writing meaningful songs.
