This young lady certainly has the wow factor
Alli Walker is a name for the future. She was born in Canada and began her love with music at a very early age. First it was a drum battle in junior high, and then she moved onto bag piping, where she won the North American Championships with her band. From there it was the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow. Alli has also been involved in highland dancing, Irish dancing and modelling. In 2008 Alli bought an acoustic guitar and took lessons. From there she began writing, playing and singing her own songs. She has had television experience and her biggest musical influence is Taylor Swift. Alli’s new EP will introduce people world wide to her music. Alli’s music blends country with pop and has a quality feel about it. The EP begins with Good Luck With That. Alli’s voice is well suited to soft country/pop infused songs. Her voice is quite distinct making her stand out from most other up and coming country singers. There is a definite edge to Alli’s songs; they are a lot more than flimsy simple songs with no depth or character. Alli’s vocals have a raw freshness. My Love airs more on the side of pop than country. This is another excellent song, which demonstrates just how good a singer Alli really is. I Don’t Just Love You is a much heavier song than the previous two songs on the EP. Alli treats listeners to some real angst on this rather infectious country/rock song. The One is definitely a modern country song. This song is upbeat and well constructed. All four songs on this EP are a real pleasure to listen to. They are all good. If this is a taster of things to come then bring on a full album and fast. Alli certainly has the wow factor.
