Rainbow

Rainbow

A tapestry of interwoven colours trailing across the sky
A bridge from here to nowhere
A stepping stone to a better world
A world of dreams and pots of gold
Magical, romantic, spiritual but most of all beautiful
Rich colours illuminating the earth
Lighting it up for all to see
A halo looming large
A work of art hanging like a giant painting
A fleeting glimpse into a person’s very own Valhalla
Red burning like fire, bold and dramatic
The colour of fresh blood reminding us that we are still alive
Yellow the colour of sunshine
Looking down upon us, making the world a happier place
Pink, pale and delicate like a person’s fragile flesh
Vulnerable, the privileged few get to walk freely on this earth
To follow in the footsteps of those who have gone before
Saints and sinners, gods and goddesses
Green like grass and the leaves upon trees
Calming and peaceful
A stark reminder of all we have lost
Species depleted, forests uprooted – all in the name of progress
Blue like the summer sky
An ocean ragging, the waves of the sea crashing against the shore
Solemn and tranquil, washing all your cares swiftly away
Purple the colour of royalty, wealth and sophistication
Letting you know that you are in the presence of a higher being
Reminding you that the lord is watching over you and guiding you each and every day
Giving you the much needed strength to carry on your journey
A reminder of the love and serenity each and every one of us carries with us in our hearts, mind and soul
