Powerful music that deserves to be heard!
Crystal LaRochelle is a typical country girl in every sense of the word. Crystal has spent the past eight years living on a farm in Alberta, Canada having moved from Ontario and has been singing since an early age performing at weddings and jamborees. Crystal is as happy at home with her horses as she is on stage. Crystal has already had the luxury of performing on stage in Nashville at the world famous BB Kings and Nashville Palace. Now at the age of eighteen this pretty Canadian girl has released a stunning album, recorded in Nashville, comprising of ten tracks that focus on faith and the family. The album opens with If I Could Be Anything a great choice of opening song that just makes the listener want to sit back and hear more. Coming Home is a lovely ballad with powerful lyrics about returning home from the war. This is a profound song and just one of the sparking gems on this album. Crystal has an astounding voice that makes her sound much older than her eighteen years. It is easy to see from this polished performance why she is already being compared to acclaimed artists such as Patty Loveless. It’s All Good is a fast paced raunchier number with a catchy chorus. Sometimes Angels is another slow song overflowing with emotion. Crystal’s deep vocals really give this song an edge. This is powerful music that deserves to be heard! They Sing is a duet with up and coming country star Clay Underwood, whose voice sounds similar to that of Brad Paisley. Their voices complement one another beautifully on this slow ballad. A Man Like Daddy sees the mood shifted up a gear once again. This is a faster song with a strong traditional country feel. Turn Around is a powerful modern country song with emotive lyrics. Whole Lotta Life is a classy sounding modern country song. You Are features country/pop singer Corey Layne on vocals. This song sees Crystal return once again to a more traditional country style. This is a superb duet with both artists complementing one another perfectly. You Just Never Know brings this exciting mix of old and new country music to a close. This song has an inspiration feel to it. A perfect song to end the album on. Crystal has a beautiful voice; this is one of those albums you will surely return to again and again.
